If you ever wanted to have an app on your computer capable of managing your smartphone and tablet with the same flexibility your PC manages any other external device connected to it, you may want to give MobileGo a try.
Connecting your phone or tablet to MobileGo couldn’t be simpler. You can connect your Android devices either via USB or via Wi-Fi, while Apple devices, however, will seamlessly connect to MobileGo via USB only. Once connected, you’ll be given access to the main menu, where you can perform a one-click backup of your entire device (or selected parts of it), a one-click root, search for duplicate contacts, or send an SMS from your mobile phone using your PC. Besides, you can also recover lost or deleted files and even transfer information from one device to another if you happen to have more than one connected to the app.
Apart from these features, you can also perform various management tasks to specific groups of data. These groups – visible on the left-hand side of the program’s interface – refer to your device’s apps, contacts, SMS messages, audio files, images and photos, video files, and any other file or document stored on your smartphone or tablet. Contacts can be cleaned from duplicates, imported, exported, deleted, and added, while media files can be easily exported to your PC or to other device and imported to it from your computer. MobileGo supports most of the common audio and video formats for the input, though it will convert to MP3 and MP4, respectively, those files whose format is not well received by your Android device. As for videos, you can download video files from YouTube, Google Play, and other websites directly to your Android device thanks to MobileGo’s download support.
MobileGo can also manage your contacts’ list in the most intuitive way. Thanks to its de-duplication feature, it can detect which entries are listed more than once, allowing you to merge all the information (phone numbers, postal addresses, e-mail addresses, etc.) in one single entry. You can also import contacts from Outlook or export contacts to Live Mail just as easily. As for your apps, the program’s Apps Manager is a truly powerful tool. You can open and browse the Google Play Store from your computer, select your favorite apps, and download and install them in your device without touching it. Likewise, you can easily uninstall and delete apps from your tablet or phone with just one click.
MobileGo comes with even more features (a data recovery tool, a screen capture function, etc.), but I’ll leave those for you to discover. This is a true comprehensive, all-in-one Android and iOS management tool suitable for all Android and Apple users, easy to connect to and with an attractive and highly intuitive interface. Surely, users with devices running on Windows Phone would also be grateful to be able to enjoy its many features.
